…here is a letter we received about health benefits of magnesium

Dear Herb,

Magnesium chloride is one of the four most important minerals your body requires for cellular health. Magnesium soothes the sympathetic nervous system (providing deeper rest), and is essential for the production of amino acids that are critical for virtually every chemical reaction in your body. There are great health benefits of magnesium.

There is a documented epidemic of magnesium deficiency in America, and yet, the medical industry is trying to deal with it using drugs instead of effective supplements. Why supplements? Because the food that is grown on our depleted soils no longer contains enough magnesium to sustain you in a healthy state. How can you get the health benefits of Magnesium from depleted soil?

The health benefits of Magnesium causes natural calm with magnesium. How do you know that there is an epidemic of magnesium deficiency taking place? Let me list some of the symptoms: road rage (instability, quick to anger), restless leg (twitchy nervous behaviors), high blood pressure, arthritis, diabetes, tooth cavities, sleep disorders, cramps, migraines, panic attacks, depression … Have you seen any of this around you lately?

The health benefits of magnesium cause a natural calmness when you have enough magnesium in the body. When you restore vital magnesium to the body, you enable cellular regeneration to exceed degeneration. That means you can reverse the symptoms, even if they are labeled “there is no cure for …”

Go here to learn more about Magnesium and its impact on your health.

Magnesium chloride is critical for your cellular health, your nervous system, regenerating & maintaining living cells, and producing amino acids (critical for virtually every reaction in the body).

Magnesium comes from the ocean

To get the real health benefits of magnesium you need to use the supplement as a spray or skin rub. It is impossible to rebuild magnesium levels through oral supplementation – because of the bowel flush reaction … your body cannot and will not retain it if it is asked to pass from the digestive tract directly into your blood. It will be retained when it is absorbed directly into your extra-cellular fluid through your skin.

Let me share some comments from users of Magnesium Oil:

The magnesium is the best thing that has happened to me. I take daily baths and come out feeling like a million dollars. It melts the tension away better than any product I have ever used. I completely submerge myself in the bath allowing my hair to soak in it as well. The color is changing, the slight graying is disappearing. Although not for everyone while submerged I do some meditation. While under water you block out the world and the magnesium relaxes you and puts you in a perfect state of balance and peace. If you could bottle this state of euphoria you could make a million dollars. Enjoy! the health benefits of magnesium.”!

“I have been seeing my cardiologist for 6 years due to long standing heart problems. He has been trying to get my blood pressure and cholesterol down. My blood pressure would often shoot up suddenly and I would get chills and shake all over.

“After little over two months with Transdermal Magnesium Oil the erratic blood pressure and the chills have decreased dramatically. Another major change (these are health benefits of magnesium) is that the scratchy eyes that tormented me due to deposits of a heart medicine have cleared up.

“My blood pressure was normal. My cholesterol was remarkable, as the doctor put it. At the end of his examination, he said, “You obviously look much healthier, but you also appear younger these are health benefits of magnesium.”

An excellent means of absorbing critically needed magnesium and essential moisture for cellular regeneration is based on the discovery of energized and structured water. This liquid solution gives immediate delivery & absorption of these minerals into living cells.

P.S. Twenty four – I wish I were that age again. Everything was working just right, without even having to work at it. Speaking of not hard to do: supplement magnesium in your bath!

Magnesium Crystals are the concentrated the form of magnesium that is the keystone of cellular regeneration. We call it the ‘fountain of youth’. Use a 1/4 cup in a bath every day. If you are a “shower person” use the Magnesium Oil or Gel. Spray it on any area of concern as often as desired, to enhance vitality. You can reverse aging by stimulating regeneration. The magnesium oil is also a magnificent dental aid – it whitens teeth by rebuilding the mineral levels in your teeth.

Want more information about Transdermal Magnesium? …just go to the Reiki Ranch Store, and buy a bottle of magnesium or the magnesium salt.

“Magnesium deficiency appears to have caused eight million sudden coronary deaths in America during the period 1940-1994, based on census data and studies of similar deaths from magnesium deficiency conducted in Canada, Great Britain, Finland, and India. This global pattern of death from magnesium deficiency is important in terms of setting priorities for further research and setting standards of nutrition. The needless drag on the U. S. economy from magnesium deficiency exceeds $86 Billion per year.” as reported by: Magnesium Web Site, www.MgWater.com, paulmason@mgwater.com

Many of us suffer with magnesium deficiency for months and years while suffering from from chronic conditions, that no one seems to detect the source of (not even the so-called experts).

As you may know… Magnesium is a very important mineral for the body and is responsible for numerous functions. Some of which are the creation of new cells, the proper functioning of your heart and kidneys. It is sometimes known as the heart mineral,or the mineral of the heart. Nurses put Magnesium chloride directly into the body when a person has a heart attack. Could a magnesium deficiency be the cause of a heart attack?

Research has determined that Magnesium is one of the most common elemental minerals in the human body, yet experts believe that more than 90% of adults are magnesium deficient, placing them at extreme risk of sudden death from a heart attack and of developing diabetes. Hundreds of biochemical functions that drive energy metabolism and DNA repair are fueled by magnesium.

There are over 300 reason to take magnesium. Other functions are the production of energy, proper digestion, the relaxation of muscles and the function of muscle. It also activates B vitamins, the adrenals ,the brain and the nervous system.

I use magnesium chloride for a deodorant, by spraying it under my armpits. It kills all odor and bacteria. This is a good way to supplement magnesium to the body and avoid a magnesium deficiency. It does not stain my clothes.

magnesium deficiency can be easily corrected

Only a few lucky ones (or educated ones) realize that the true source of these conditions is due primarily to a magnesium deficiency. Many conditions are caused primarily by a magnesium deficiency and for many other conditions it is a major contributing factor.

The Reiki Ranch store has several bottles of magnesium oil, magnesium gel and cell magnesium salt that I highly recommend.

I love the ocean. Many wonderful things are found in the waters of the world, including many minerals that we are dependent on for good health. Magnesium, for example, is one of the salts contained in our deep blue seas. There is Pacific Ocean Magnesium and Dead Sea Magnesium. Cell Mag magnesium comes from the dead sea.

Most of us don’t live near the beach though, and cannot take the time out of our busy schedule for that natural foot bath, but we can pull out a bottle of Transderma magnesium oil after the shower and reap the benefits of the elements contained in the ocean.

Nutrition is a hot topic, but one that is full of confusion. When we think about what we eat we have to consider that its a two way street. Food nourishes, but it also takes vitamins and minerals to process those foods. That fast food diet, or that home cooked fried chicken may take more than it gives us. Visit any federally funded health site, and you will likely find data that shows that we are deficient in magnesium.

Let us delve into the world of magnesium in the body. Your body definitely needs magnesium to function. There is a storehouse of magnesium contained in your bones, right alongside that calcium that we hear so much about. About 50 percent of our supply of magnesium is stored in our bones. Blood is a different matter, with only about 1 percent of our magnesium maintained in the blood.

How do we keep up, and maintain healthy nutritional levels? Not too long ago I learned about transdermal magnesium. I tried it for the ache in shoulder, and the ache diminished. I gave some to my sister, and the pain in her knee was gone within the same day.

Magnesium deficiency has been associated with depression, mental fatigue, chronic tiredness, and even pain relief or release. Some say that they feel calmer and sleep better after a magnesium bath or by using the magnesium oil after their bath.

There are over 300 biochemical actions in our body that need magnesium. That sounds pretty darn important to me. According to this same medical authority there is concern about continued sub-levels of magnesium in a large part of our population. Perhaps we should go back to basics, such as basic nutrition through the elements of life.

First of all magnesium is best taken as a rub into the skin. You absorb 95% of it that way and the body will not over dose on it. It will only absorb what it needs. This magnesium is called transdermal. You will find the spray on magnesium like this picture at the Reiki Ranch Store for alternative products such as magnesium oil.

Transdermal Magnesium Oil from the Pacific Ocean

Zinc is a vital mineral required for the body. Many people may not realize the importance of this mineral hence let us focus on zinc supplements. Zinc helps in developing immunity and fighting against various diseases. During pregnancy zinc intake should be more in women. Multivitamin tablets are good sources of zinc.

Some people swear by the leaves of feverfew, eating one per day which is easy way to take it. It is important, however, that you do so regularly, since it can take for up to 6 to 8 weeks for you to notice a reduction in your attacks. Don’t give up after 5 or 6 weeks, but continue, since the results will be well worth it. If you stop for a week or two you will have to start all over again. You might get a sore mouth and perhaps mouth ulcers to start with, but these will eventually go once your body is used to it.

Riboflavin, vitamin B 2, is also believed to useful in reducing the duration and frequency of migraine attacks, working in much the same way as magnesium. It is known that there are many cases of people who suffer from vitamin B 2 deficiency also suffering from migraines, and a riboflavin supplement is also worth trying if you are a consistent victim of this condition.

Patients with osteoporosis can be at risk due to the deficiency of magnesium in their bodies. Magnesium controls the metabolic activity of calcium and those hormones responsible for controlling calcium. It has been noted that magnesium supplements can increase the mineral density in bones. For all those who suffer from hypertension, magnesium supplements can help them to deal with it. In addition, healthy and balanced diet containing magnesium will help to deal with magnesium deficiency.

Green leafy vegetables, meat, etc are good sources of magnesium. Such foods are normally high in fibers and potassium, which are also good for health. Magnesium also helps in controlling the levels of insulin so it is good for patients with diabetes. It regulates insulin level in the body, which helps in controlling the blood sugar level.

It is not easy to live with a migraine since it can be completely debilitating. Some just have a severe headache, while others are affected for days at a time. The headache can become before and after the onset of the shimmering lights and other optical effects that are generated by the brain.

If your migraine is at the front of the head, then you should try ginger. Unlike feverfew, ginger works on a migraine as it is occurring, and improvement can be achieved for a bad migraine within half an hour. In fact if, like many people, you can feel a migraine coming on, half a teaspoon of freshly ground ginger can stop the pain before it starts.

However, particularly high dose of magnesium can lead to nausea, diarrhea, low blood pressure and many other unpleasant side effects, so do not take more than the RDA (recommended daily allowance) in your supplement.

All vitamins are vital for our health. However, we will focus on Vitamin D supplements and their benefits. The easiest way to obtain Vitamin D is exposure to the sun. Vitamin D controls the levels of phosphorus and calcium in the blood. Deficiency of this vitamin may cause rickets, liver and kidney diseases.

Fish oils, cod liver oils are the best sources of Vitamin D. Therefore, seafood eaters won’t have to worry about this deficiency. In some countries, all dairy products are fortified with Vitamin D so that the risk of its deficiency is less. Vitamin D supplements play an important role in reducing cancer since its intake kills cancer cells.

Response to last week’s Reflections . . . After reading your newsletter, I thought you might like another true story that happened 22 years ago.

I have four children, and I didn’t have much money raising them. One Sunday in church, my 6 year-old son was listening attentively while the preacher talked about asking and receiving. He said that when we pray, we should pray believing that we had already received. That night as my son was saying his prayers, he said, “Thank you God for the bike you are going to send me.” My heart dropped because I knew there was no way to come up with enough money for a bike.

Chris prayed faithfully every night for about three weeks, then one day the UPS man delivered a huge box. I had no clue where this box came from, but as soon as Chris saw it, he knew it was his box. Sure enough, inside the box was a brand new Hot Wheels Bike. He danced around singing Thank you, God while we put the bike together! Then he rushed outside with his new bike.

About a month later my sister called and asked if we had received a bike. I was stunned. She said that some company was offering a free bike for some coupons or something. She had saved enough coupons for her son and for mine! She sent the coupons in about two weeks before Chris ever started praying for his bike, and she never knew that he was wanting one. Isn’t God good? R.S., TX

It is also unlike glandular or prescriptions containing hormones that take over the thyroid’s job, instead of nutritionally building the thyroid to do it’s own job. Seaweed, seafood, greens, raw sunflower seeds, are good sources for iodine, but may not have the levels necessary to support the thyroid fully for good homeostasis in the body.

The thyroid gland is the principle user of iodine in the body. Detoxified Iodine protects the thyroid gland from toxic radioactivity in the environment. Additionally, iodine is an endocrine stimulatory element and will up-regulate the entire glandular system, the stomach, intestines, colon, skin, vaginal secretions, etc.

It Works! . . . I’ve tried nearly all forms of iodine, and I can tell you that Detoxified Iodine is by far the most bioavailable form. Whatever Edgar Cayce did with this stuff to make it so “magical,” Phil has recreated its powers. If you’re serous about getting healthy or maintaining your health, it’s a no-brainer that you should take iodine.

I’m using it because of a neuropathy (nerve pain/damage) issue and I’m starting to see early signs of regeneration. Exciting times are ahead folks! Andrew, TX

What are the Magnesium benefits?

Where should we start?

With reduced risk of cognitive decline? Or maybe . . .

Heart health support

Building of strong bones in postmenopausal women

Management of C-reactive protein (a key marker of inflammation)

Helps stop tooth cavities by its anti bacteria propertities

Maintenance of tooth enamel

Clearly, magnesium is a nutrient you don’t want to get caught short on. Especially because magnesium has an important type 2 diabetes connection, which in turn has a gallstone connection.

And just ask anyone who’s had them – you don’t want gallstones.

All too easy

Last year I told you about a meta-analysis of seven large magnesium/diabetes studies from the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. Six of the studies found a significant link between high magnesium intake and reduced risk of type 2 diabetes. And the sources of magnesium (either from diet or supplements combined with diet) were equally effective.

The Karolinska team found that diabetes risk dropped by 15 percent for every 100 mg increase in magnesium intake.

Unfortunately, magnesium deficiency can develop all too easily. Menstruation, prolonged stress, a high intake of starches, alcohol, diuretics and some prescription drugs (such as antibiotics) have all been shown to reduce magnesium levels.

In the February 2008 issue of The American Journal of Gastroenterology, researchers at the University of Kentucky Medical Center noted that low magnesium levels have been associated with high insulin concentrations. They write: “Chronic hypersecretion of insulin, a feature of insulin resistance, may increase the cholesterol saturation index in the bile, and thus may facilitate gallstone formation.”

Magnesium deficiency may also increase gallstone risk by raising triglyceride levels while lowering HDL cholesterol levels.

Gallstone Risk Assessment

To investigate the effect of long-term magnesium intake on the risk of gallstone disease, the Kentucky team (in collaboration with Harvard Medical School, Brigham and Women’s Hospital, and the National Cancer Institute) launched a study to follow magnesium intake and medical records for more than 42,000 men.

Results:

- 2,195 cases of gallstones were diagnosed over an average follow up period of 13 years

- The average magnesium intake was about 353 mg per day

- The highest magnesium intake was 454 mg per day

- The lowest magnesium intake was 262 mg per day

- Men with the highest intake were nearly 30 percent less likely to develop gallstones compared to men with the lowest intake

- Men with the highest intake from dietary sources alone were 32 percent less likely to develop gallstones

- Studies have shown that the average adult doesn’t get the RDA of magnesium, which is 420 mg for men and 320 mg for women.

Dietary sources of magnesium include leafy green vegetables, avocados, nuts, and whole grains.
